Create a Catalog in E-commerce Manager #
- Go to business.facebook.com.
- Click on the “All Tools” menu, then select “Commerce”. This will redirect you to the Commerce Manager.
- From the top right corner, click on the profile and select your business account.
- Click on the “Get Started” button, select “Create a Catalog”, and click on “Get Started” again.
- Choose the catalog type as “E-commerce”. Select online or local products based on your business type, then click “Next”.
- Choose the upload method: manually upload products or connect a partner platform like Shopify or BigCommerce.
- In the “Catalog Owner” section, select your business. In the “Catalog Use” section, select “Run Ads”.
- Give a name to the catalog and click on the “Create” button.
- Click on “View Catalog” and then “Add Items” to add products to your catalog. Choose to add products manually.
- Click on the image button to upload images, then enter the title, description, website link, price, and any other relevant details.
- Finally, click on the “Upload Items” button.

- Repeat the above steps to add more products as needed.
Assign Catalog to WhatsApp #
- From the “All Tools” menu, select “WhatsApp Manager”.
- From the Account tools, click on “Catalog” and then “Choose Catalog”.
- Select the catalog and click on the “Connect Catalog” button.
Import Catalog to BotCommerce #
- Go to BotCommerce and navigate to “Connect Account”.
- Go to the WhatsApp account and click on the “Synchronize” button.
- Go to the E-commerce catalog and verify that the catalog has been imported to BotCommerce.
- Here, you can enable/disable the public status, view catalog products, and synchronize new or updated products.
Manage Catalog and Settings #
- You can copy the catalog URL to share with your users.
- There are options to delete the catalog, edit message templates, and configure settings for checkout URLs and reminders.
- Add payment methods under “Payment Settings” and configure cart settings, including tax and shipping charges.
- Set abandoned cart reminder messages and manage catalog orders.
User Experience on WhatsApp #
- When users click on the catalog link you share, the catalog will open on their WhatsApp.
- They can add products to the cart and proceed to checkout.
- They will receive a checkout link on their WhatsApp to complete the purchase on the checkout page.
By following these steps, you can effectively create a product catalog in Commerce Manager and integrate it with your WhatsApp account using BotCommerce.
