In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating an email or SMS campaign for your chatbot leads. It’s an effective way to engage with your audience and keep them informed.

Previous steps #

Before we begin, please ensure you’ve completed the necessary preparatory steps. Don’t worry; there are tutorials available for each of them.

1.- Connect an email provider. Firstly, you need to connect an email management provider like MailChimp to your app in the API channels section. This step is essential for sending email campaigns.
2.- Create a template. Then, you need to create an Email Template. While you can send a simple text email, creating a well-designed email using templates is often more engaging. Learn how to create an email template here.
3.- Create a list of contacts. Finally, before you start your campaign, you’ll need to create a group of contacts to send it to. Refer to the tutorial on creating contact groups here.

Now, once you’ve completed these essential steps, you can proceed to create your campaign.

Creating an email campaign #

1.- Open the Broadcasting Settings. Go to the “Broadcasting” option on the left sidebar of your dashboard. Look for the broadcast campaign icon and indicate whether it will be an email or an SMS campaign. Here, we will choose the email option.

2.- Create a campaign. Click on the “New Email Campaign” button. After clicking “New Email Campaign,” the campaign creation interface will appear. Give your campaign a name.

3.- Create the email. Write the email subject in the respective field. Then, choose between “Rich Text Editor” or “Drag and Drop” templates. If you opt for “Drag and Drop,” you can select a template you’ve previously created using the drag and drop template creator.

4.- Select the Email provider.
From the dropdown list, choose the Email API you’ll use for this campaign.

5.- Choose your recipients lists. You can add an external email list or select subscribers from a specific Facebook Page. You can also target subscribers by labels and exclude certain labels. Additionally, there are options to filter by Gender, Time Zone, and Locale.

6.- Add a date and time. Decide whether to schedule the campaign for a later date or start it immediately upon creation.

That’s it! You’ve successfully set up an email campaign.

Creating an SMS campaign #

The process for SMS broadcasting is quite similar, so you can follow these steps with slight modifications.

1.- Create an SMS Template. You can see the tutorial to do this here.
2.- Select SMS in the Broadcasting Settings. Then follow the rest of the steps as before.
