A welcome drip is a sequence of automated push notifications sent to new subscribers after they sign up. This helps guide them through their journey with your brand, whether it’s introducing key features, offering a special deal, or encouraging engagement.
The first notification in the sequence is always the welcome notification (which you can edit here as well). After that, you can add as many follow-up messages as you’d like.
Setting Up Your Welcome Drip
Go to “Welcome Drip” in the left sidebar. You’ll see your existing sequence, with the welcome notification already in place as the first message. Click the plus icon to add a new notification.
Customizing Each Notification
Edit the second notification. For every new notification you add, you can edit:
- Title & Message: Personalize the text to match your campaign goals.
- URL: Define where users are directed (keeping the domain ensures it appears anywhere).
- Custom Icon: Upload a branded icon from your File Manager.
- UTM Parameters: Track engagement by tagging campaign links.
- Large Image: Add visuals to make notifications more engaging.
- Action Buttons: Include up to two buttons with links.
- Notification Expiry: Set how long the notification remains visible.
- Auto-hide Notification: Enable this to make it disappear after a set time.
Pause the Welcome Drip for Existing Subscribers. If you need to stop the welcome drip for current subscribers, check the box labeled “Stop Welcome Drip for all old subscribers.” This will immediately pause the sequence for existing users. Once reactivated, the notifications will only be sent to new subscribers.
Save your changes. Once everything is set up, click Schedule to save your new notification. You will now see it on the sequence.
Use the After X Days, X Hours, X Minutes box to define when each message should be sent after the previous one. This allows you to space out your notifications for maximum impact.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: If you modify the Welcome Notification or its scheduled timing here, those changes will also apply to the Welcome Notification page. Be mindful of this to avoid unintended updates.
Finalize Your Welcome Drip. You can repeat this process as many times as needed to create a well-structured, high-converting onboarding experience.
Monitor its performance. Click View Stats to open the analytics of your Welcome Drip.
You will see the number of subscribers who have entered and completed the welcome drip, along with the deliveries, clicks, and click-through rate for each individual notification.
